Life of Talat Koçyiğit, His Approach to Adultery in His Work Quran Translation-Interpretation

Abstract


Professor Dr. Talat Koçyiğit was born on August 3, 1927 in Uşak and passed away on 18.04.2011. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Uşak and his higher education in Ankara as one of the first students and first graduates of the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University. Koçyiğit was appointed as an assistant to the faculty he graduated from under the direction of M. Tayyip Okiç, and became associate professor in 1967 and a professor in 1975. Until his retirement in 2003 he servedat Ankara University for 40 years as assistant, lecturer and Dean and he produced unique works on hadiths. Although he worked on hadith and has many works on this field, Talat Koçyiğit produced a seven volume book called Quran Translation-Interpretation and this book was published by Turkish Religious Foundation after his death.  This work, which is defined as literary interpretation by himself, will contribute to the literature with its  fluent style and plain expression.
